This class studies the basic components of linguistics and their application, including phonological and morphological analysis of contemporary American English. Thechniques for comparing and analyzing the structures of different languages and dialects will be considered. ENG 353 is recommended for B.A. majors in English with concentration in Adolescent Education. (Same as LIN 353)
